ERASMUS IN LONDON by Luis Rojas & Iñigo Indave.
In September we came to London for 3 months to work in the Marketing Department of a gallery of art. We have been living in the South-East of London, in a house with 8 flatmates from different countries like Brazil, Italy, Colombia… The house is only 30 minutes by tube from the City, so it´s perfect for us.
A NORMAL DAY IN LONDON
We wake up at 8 p.m. to have breakfast and a shower. After that, we go to Surrey Quays Station near our house, there we take the Overground and it takes us 20 minutes to get to Hoxton Station where we take a bus to the company.
In the company, we do our marketing tasks like advertising the company, market research about shipping or find new shops to sell the products among other activities. Sometimes we help the company with the exhibitions, preparing the space, advertising the events, or contacting with different medias.
Our timetable is from 9:30 to 17:00 with one hour for lunch. After the working hours, we usually do exercise in the park near home, go out with our flatmates to the city center or stay at home playing cards or watching films.
At the weekends, we usually visit London with our friends, go to the discos or watch football drinking some beers in the pubs.
Our stay here is coming to the end, but we are satisfied with the result of our adventure in London.
